Privacy notice
What we do with your application.
Last updated 5 November 2026
What we collect
What you type into the application form (name, email, phone, city, experience, current and expected salary, notice period, LinkedIn link, how you heard of us, who referred you and your cover note), the resume you upload, and the role you applied for. We also record the date, and the network address and browser your application came from, to stop spam.
What we use it for
To consider you for the role you applied for, and for future roles at Boring Commerce and at the e-commerce brands we work with. A person on our team reads every application. We may contact the references you give us, with your agreement, late in the process.
The talent pool
If we do not hire you, or you joined the pool for a role at a brand, we keep your application so we can contact you when a fitting role comes up. When a brand we work with hires for your role, we tell you about the job first. Your details go to that brand only after you say yes to that specific job. You can ask to leave the pool at any time.
Interviews
If we invite you to an interview, it may be run by an AI interviewer. You are told before it starts, a person on our team reviews every answer, and you can ask to speak to a person instead. We never make a hiring decision on the AI interview alone.
Who can see it
Your resume is stored privately. Only the people at Boring Commerce involved in hiring can open it. We use service providers to store applications, send email and run interviews; they process your details only on our behalf. We never sell your details or share them with anyone else.
How long we keep it
Up to 24 months after your last contact with us. After that we delete it.
Your choices
Write to careers@boringcommerce.com and we will tell you what we hold about you, correct it, or delete it. No reason needed, and no charge.
This notice covers job applications. The rest of what Boring Commerce collects is in the agency privacy policy.
